The WCD Group is pleased to announce that Andy Patterson is joining as technical support manager to head up the technical team at the firm’s headquarters in Gloucestershire and also in the field. Andy brings a wealth of experience gained during his 23 years in the water heating industry where he worked in a variety of quality control, field service repair and technical roles. Well known in the industry Andy worked for Heatrae Sadia, part of Baxi Heating, one of the largest commercial water heater suppliers in the UK, on all the Heatrae and Santon commercial water heaters. He has also worked on the Megaflo system boilers in the domestic heating environment. Said Pete Glanville, managing director: “It’s great that we can attract such talent to the team. Andy has much experience in heating and hydration with sector-leading brands and has spent many years training service engineers on product knowledge and fault diagnostics. He will play a pivotal role liaising between the experienced technical team at HQ and our 20+ network of field service engineers to help equip engineers with the information and tools they need to deliver successful customer service outcomes. Andy is a familiar face here at WCD and will hit the ground running, enhancing support from the technical department as our hot and cold hydration business continues to pick up pace after lockdown.” “I have been working with WCD as a service provider for the past six years and have built good working relationships with the operations and service teams. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a successful and growing company,” said Andy.
