Hot Tap Top Tips
Our Head of Hot Tap Technical at Water Coolers Direct, Paul Morton gives some great tips and advice on and how you can make sure you get the most out of your Hot Taps!
Train your Staff - Training staff in correct usage of Tap can prevent damage and or injury.
Service Plan - Regular servicing to maintain the overall good working condition of the whole unit.
Scale Management - In this country scale is the main cause of break down so having the correct scale management plan in place is key i.e correct filter and regular visits.
Safety Button Activation - The safety button is for the protection of the user if they hold the safety button and depress the cold lever it will not allow any cold water to dispense but will de-activate the safety button. If this happens you can reactivate the safety button by depressing the safety button and cold lever until the light on the safety button lights up.
Fault Identification - Why has the tap stopped ??? If the lights are flashing on top of the tap check the display on the front of the unit in the cupboard. If it displays "water leak isolate mains" this mean both water and power, therefore you need to check in the left door of the unit for any laying water, if there is this needs to be soaked up and you need to call for an Engineer. If the display shows "check water supply" make sure the water is on if it is, then you need to call for an Engineer.
